Finally home. We spent the last half of the week after leaving New Orleans in Colorado visiting John’s family. It was good seeing everyone again!
One of the things we did was to see some snow sculptures in Loveland – quite appropriate for Valentine’s weekend 😀
.
You can’t leave Loveland without some hearts, too!
Good times seeing John’s family. I wish they weren’t so far away.
Then it was time to come back to the North Pole home. Of course, a foot of snow fell while we were gone, but my sister works in Albany and went to the long-term lot and shoveled off our car! Don’t I have the best sister? The back of the car was plowed in again, but it was much easier to get out than it would have been without her help. We hired a service to plow our driveway in case it snowed while we were gone. Good thing, right? Still, we came home to a crap load of snow.
Ridiculous isn’t it? So, so glad we hired that service since we had house/pet sitters coming in while we were gone.
Thank goodness we didn’t have to get back and shovel!
They should do snow sculptures here…
The very last thing was going out for a grocery run so we can hit the ground running on Monday. After the indulgences of New Orleans, it’s time to get back to Fit Female eating!
And don’t forget to sign up for the Healthy Heart Weekend if you haven’t! It’s coming up!
Those snow sculptures are amazing!!
That was super nice of your sister to shovel out your car. And, good thinking on y’all’s part to hire a plow service!!
Glad y’all had such a great trip!
Wow, the things you have to think about when you live in a snowy part of the country! I will not take being able to leave my house w/o having to make plow plans for granted, I promise!
Looks like a quick but LOVEly (see what I did there??) visit with John’s family. Glad you had such a great time!
The snow sculptures are beautiful. And I’m so glad I don’t live where it snows. I’m a total wimp….
Does your sister hire out? Welcome home…I think. More of the white stuff on its way this week. But the snow sculptures are lovely and seeing family you love being around can be so uplifting 🙂
Im with you on the family being so far and missing them.
sometimes..all the time?..it’s just worse AFTER seeing them.
That’s a great sister! Several of my coworkers traveled last week and they all came back to cars that were buried.
I can tell John is related to the guy sitting right below him. Glad you had a good visit.
So glad you had time with family & New Orleans too!!! Your sis sure is the best! WOW!!! Now back to life – right! 😉 Love the ice sculptures!
The sculptures are cool, here they make them of sand during Summer.
Glad to hear you are back home safe and had such a great time.
And your sister is so sweet!
Glad you ended the trip on a good note – and I am so done with the snow too – we might get another 8 inches today – ick!
What a sweet thing for your sister to do! But I’ve noticed over the years that she’s like that.
Glad you had a good visit and that you arrived home safely!
So glad you had a great time!!! LOVE the snow sculpture pics! Your sister rocks, and I love the term “crap load”. Have a great week Lori!
Glad you’re home safe and sound.that’s amazing having to think about plowing WHILE YOU’RE GONE!I had a pastry for bfast this morning and thought”lori would do it!”
