Weekend!

Well, got another weekend to try to stay on track! Did well today – ate around 1300 calories, got my water and exercise in.
This week has been difficult water wise since I started my new rehab house. There is a broken pipe to the upstairs where the bathroom is – so no toilet until this Thursday! So that means very little drinking while I am working there.

Tomorrow will be a great exercise day. Snow shoveling! We are expecting around a foot!

Weigh in!

Well – lost another 1.8 pounds!! WooHoo! That means I am in the 170s with a little real estate cushion!

Getting lots of snow today, which means exercise in the form of shoveling. My own driveway and the one at my flip house. Phew!

Not eating under stress

I have been under a lot of stress from my latest real estate deal. We were supposed to close 2 weeks ago, and finally closed today after a roller coaster ride. I am so proud of myself to not eat all kinds of food during this stressful time. And there is chocolate in the house! DH bought specialty chocolate bars, and dark chocolate emmies! I have had a few of the m&ms, but not bad (and not as many as I wanted!).

Had the new advanced Cranberry Orange pastry. This is much better than the Nourish version. It tastes much more fresh and with none of that fake cranberry taste to it. I only wish it was a bit bigger. It’s only 100 calories, and the other breakfasts are around 150, so I was hungry before lunch.

Weigh in

Well, I gained .8 pounds this week. Not totally sure why. I really hope it is not the start of a plateau. I already consume only 1300 calories a day. Will just have to see what the next week brings. I ended up drinking some extra light egg nog yesterday, a mini binge – I suppose, but had to stop that in its tracks right away.

My Nutrisystem food order is delayed. It was supposed to be here today. I was hoping to have it tomorrow at the latest so that I could eat the whole weekend being 100% NS. Looks like it might not be here until Monday. I do have enough dinners and close to enough desserts, but am totally out of breakfasts and lunches.
Here is a pic taken in Florida at about 203 (Late January)

And last week at 185.5

No candy on Halloween!

I did not indulge in a single piece of candy on Halloween. And you know what? It was because I really and truly didn’t want any. I didn’t feel deprived or anything. We have the raisinettes left, and I still haven’t had the desire to have any.
I actually get pretty full on the food I eat, and with a snack between meals, there isn’t much time to eat anything extra!!

Made my own breakfast today of oat bran, topped with my blueberry sauce (post below) and turkey sausage. The nutrient distribution was right where it should be. 40/30/30. Trying to push that nutrisystem auto delivery back some more. Think I will plan on having my box ship the week of Thanksgiving.

Great Weigh in!!

Well – after losing nothing last week, I lost 3.6 pounds this week! Normally when I don’t lose one week, the next is just the normal 1-2 pound loss. So this was kind of fun to see.
Plus it put me into a new decade on the scale!!

Went out for dinner tonight, and chose a pretty healthy meal. Roast turkey, had some stuffing and some potatoes, but left the corn and had a salad. Figured out my total on fitday.com and still came in not too far above my calorie load for the day. Plus we walked there!

Unrealistic goals

When you read the stats about how few people are able to maintain weight loss, sometimes I find that not surprising given the attitude that people have.

There is so many posts out there saying,
– Can’t wait until goal, then I am going to pig out (???)
– I will never, ever deviate from the plan, not being 100% is a failure. This sets people up for a binge from which they never return.

– I only lost 3 pounds this month, this isn’t working for me, I’m going to quit

And various other musings. The problem is, weight loss is hard work. Really hard work. And the hardest part is keeping off what you lost. It’s like having a chronic illness, you always have to treat it. That’s not meant to be depressing, but it was a real reality check for me to think of it this way.

Nutrisystem and Buddy Bucks

Well, in my flailing around, I seem to have found my focus again. I wanted to take my mind off of food for a while, so I joined Nutrisystem.
The food is decent, and it is nice to not have to think so much about what I am eating. I just grab food, add fruits and veggies and eat.
So far, I have lost about 12#.

Only have 15 more to go before I will be back in virgin fat territory!

I do feel like I have my mojo back now for losing weight.!
