Hungry today

Soooo hungry, all day. I have no idea why, either. Today was bagel day for breakfast (every sunday). I ate it so fast because I was so hungry. That did fill me until lunch, then I had a boca burger on a Thomas’ whole grain english muffin, plus a clemetine. I was really hungry 2 hours later, stomach growling hungry. Had a latte (made at home) with a couple clementines, then an hour later my stomach was growling again!! Jeepers.

We went out to dinner tonight, and I ate a little more than I had intended. I had an open faced turkey sandwich, which in itself wasn’t bad. But, it came with mashed potatoes – and I doubt they were made with chicken broth LOL! Tasty, though.

I did my best to add up calories for the day – and it shouldn’t be more than 1700-1800, even with round ups. That is over my max of 1500, but it could have been worse. I felt like I could have eaten all day, although right now I am still full from dinner. No evening snack today.

Weigh in day!

Well, I lost a whopping 0.2 pounds. What is that, almost a 1/4 pound. LOL! I am fairly ambivalent about it. I didn’t really do anything out of the ordinary to stall. There is the fear of a plateau in the back of my mind, though. Since I got stuck about 5 pounds higher than this a couple years ago.

Weigh in is tomorrow

Weigh in tomorrow. Not expecting a huge loss. Things are slowing down a bit, it seems. I am so pleased with how I feel from the Firm workouts. My jeans are looser already (the new ones I bought in January).

It’s amazing how smaller amounts of weight show up more (or less, I guess it would be) the smaller I get. Back at 250 – 10 pounds was nothing. I didn’t even notice any difference in my clothing until 25 pounds was gone. Now each 5 pounds makes a big difference.

I’m still debating on the reward for getting into the 160s. I went bra shopping over the weekend, but couldn’t find the exact thing I was looking for. Maybe it’s going to have to be new jeans 🙂

Keepin' on

Had a good day Saturday. Went out for a walk to an open house in our town. I don’t know if I would have walked had a realized how far it was, because it was bitter cold! I ended up logging 13000 steps yesterday, which is cool.

Did my own dinner last night, created a healthy bbq pizza using the Boboli whole wheat mini crust, some bbq sauce, part skim mozzarella and grilled chicken. It was really good. Split one of those with John. A few more calories than a nutrisystem dinner when I added in my fruit and broccoli – but I was still under 1500 for the day.
I like the NS pizzas, but this one was fun.

Happy Valentine's Day!

It’s chocolate day LOL! Or at least it seems like it. DH and I don’t exchange Vday gifts normally, so chocolate isn’t an issue for me today.
We are, however, going out for dinner tonight – one of those fixed menu things. Lobster and filet mignon! Need to just watch my portion sizes – although I imagine these portions will be on the small side considering the price the meal goes for.

Just eating normally for the rest of the day, and got in my exercise (snow shoveling…. again). Will probably do some more light cardio.

Officially on every other day

Okay, I got my nutrisystem delivery today. Got my 70 pound bear, too! So cute. I set my autoship to 8 weeks. I am now going to do every other day of my own foods, keeping my calories to 1500 or less.

It is taking some real planning to do this, but I am now ready. I really like the new pancakes I make with the Heartsmart, oat fiber and protein powder. They are so filling!

The Firm workouts are also going well. Tomorrow is weigh in day, not sure what to expect, but I have my fingers crossed to reach the 160s. I will feel as though my plateau will really be broken at that point. Even though the plateau really was a couple years ago LOL! I will be past the decade I got stuck in before. Silly, I know – but the 170s are a really mental block for me.

Focused

It was a good weekend eating wise. I stayed on plan, just a couple bites of cookie when we were out to coffee yesterday. Under my calories for the day, so that was fine. Those bites were yummy, too!

I really want to see the 160s this week. I really, really want to. I hope that even with the mardi gras dinner we had, and the struggle I had on Thursday don’t keep me from getting there. I have been faithful with exercise and water.

Shoveled a lot today. Ugh! My flip house had an open house today, so I had to go this morning and shovel the driveway. And had to do ours as well, at least part of it. We had gotten a snowblower, but one of the handle knobs came off and got lost in the snow, so it is too difficult to try to steer. Needed to shovel enough to get the car out.

3 hard core Firm workouts the next 3 days. I actually am looking forward to them. I must be crazy.

Weekend success!

On plan this weekend. That felt so good to be able to control my own food. I love vacations, but they can be really hard on the waist line – even when you try to be good!

The Firm workouts are interesting. I don’t care for the Cardio Party workout. I think I will just do my own cardio on those days that workout is called for.
I really like the weights (even if they are pink!!). It’s nice to be able to adjust the amount of weights on the dumbells to what I want.

Still tons of newbies on the NS boards. People haven’t quite given up on the new year’s resolutions yet 🙂

Weigh in day!

Weigh in day today! I have been really focused this last week, and was rewarded with a 2 pound loss!! Yippee!

That makes 76.4 pound down. The weather has been warm the last couple days, so I could wear my new leather jacket. It looks really sharp! NSV – I was at Lowe’s, in the self checkout line. I glanced up and noticed a tv security view, and didn’t even recognize myself!

Went out for dinner tonight. I had a grilled chicken sandwich, and I got some waffle fries. I haven’t had fries in so long. They were very good – but I wasn’t used to the grease. Don’t want to do that very often.

Sunday check in

I had a good day yesterday, and another one today! Planned breakfast out for a bagel and cream cheese, and I will still stay under 1500 calories for the day!

Also got in my exercise.

Yesterday I did a little consignment store shopping to buy a new winter coat. Mine had a broken zipper and the buttons falling off. So it was time.
I tried on a jacket, a little snug at the hips, but I could zip it up and it looked good. Size MEDIUM!!! So excited! I also tried on a leather jacket on a whim, and it looked tailor made for me! The owner asked if I would consider getting both if she took $10 off the price, so of course I said ‘yes’. Got both jackets for a total of $50!
