My very favorite brekkie!

Here is what I eat for breakfast probably 4 days a week, and I love it! I normally rotate 3 different breakfasts during the week, but this one is my favorite:


The picture probably doesn’t do it justice, it is so yummy.
1/2 cup of Fage 0% Greek yogurt (2% when I want a decadent treat)
1 teaspoon of honey
1 cup of strawberries, chopped
1/2 cup of Nature’s Path Organic Hemp granola

Mixed all together. 264 calories.
Served with cafe au lait on the side 🙂

My yogurt

I forgot to post about my yogurt yesterday. It was successful! I had to incubate it twice, because I took it out of the oven too early, and it was only yogurt on top.

I took half and strained it, and it came out pretty much like the Fage yogurt that I used as the starter. Much less expensive than the Fage, although it is more expensive than the store brand yogurt. But I definitely like the flavor better. I am going to try making some vanilla yogurt and see what happens.

The recipe I used:
3 cups 1% milk
1/2 cup powdered skim milk
2 big dollops of Fage total 2%

Heated the milks up to 170, and then cooled to 115. Stirred in the Fage. Incubated at around 120 for 6 hours.

Nice day today

Took another long bike ride today. I was planning on a lighter day today, but ended up doing the 13 mile bike ride. There was a head wind on the way home, so I got a bit more tired than I thought I would.

I am trying to make my own yogurt today. I will post tomorrow about the success (or lack thereof).

Fage yogurt

I tried greek style yogurt today. It was soooo good! Better tasting, creamier, fluffier than regular yogurt.
For breakfast I ate:

1/2 cup Fage 2% plain mixed with 1 tsp of cinnamon honey.
Stirred in 1 cup of chopped strawberries and 1/2 cup of Organic hemp granola (Nature’s Path). (aprox a 260 calorie breakfast)

I think I could eat this every day!

Dusted off my Slim in 6 dvds today for something different. Went right to Ramp it Up. I am used to doing lunges and squats from the Firm, but I definitely feel a little sore tonight. Bet I will really feel it tomorrow!

Met my sister for coffee tonight, and rather than be tempted by the sweet stuff there, I brought along my soy chips snack and had that with coffee. Very proud of myself!
