Weigh in day!

Well – lost 0.4 pounds today. I am exactly 160, didn’t dip into the 150s. If I can’t get there next week…… LOL!
Did a lot of exercise today. Walked to Dunkin Donuts as per usual Wed brekkie. However, they were closed for renovations! So went back home and drove to a different one.

I then did my C25K week 2 Day 3 workout. Phew. My legs were really tired from yesterday’s hills on the bike.

Then did upper body bowflex workout.

DH and I *then* went for a bike ride tonight. Of course – there is an ice cream shop on the bike path, so we stopped there. I had a kiddie size scoop of Pumpkin ice cream and it was delicious! It seemed a big scoop for kiddie size. John got the small size and that was 2 scoops! No wonder America is fat. Anyway, about a 1/2 hour ride or so. I think it was around 6-7 miles. I need to be careful not to over do exercise in an effort to lose more quickly. Bad trap to set for myself.

C25K Week 2

Did Day 2, Week 2 of C25K today.
That is jogging for 90 seconds alternated with 2 minutes of walking. I did 2.25 miles with that today. Need to map out a 3.1 mile walk so I can know the distance I need to cover.

For the last 90 second jog – I did a little more just to see what would happen. It was okay! I did about an extra 30 seconds. Next week starts the 3 minute jog intervals.

It’s the weekend!! WooHoo!
Had a good on plan day today. I even did Week 2 Day 1 of C25K. Jogging for 90 second intervals. No problem, really. The last jog was a bit harder because I ended up on a hill for that unintentionally! Not too bad of a hill, but enough to make me notice the extra effort.
Also did full body bowflex today. Starting next week I am going to split those workouts and do 4 days per week.

Weigh in day!

I lost 1.2 pounds!! WooHoo! So close to the 150s.

Today was a heavy workout day. I did Day 2 of Couch to 5K. I decided to get up early and go, since it was going to be a lot warmer in the afternoon. My body wasn’t that thrilled about jogging at 7am! But, I did it.
I also did my full body bowflex workout. I think next week I am going to spread it out over 4 days, instead of doing full body 3 days a week.
Then I raked leaves. It isn’t even fall, and I had to rake leaves at my flip house – since it obviously wasn’t done last fall.

Bottling up motivation

Don’t you wish you could bottle motivation to take when you don’t have any?? Right now I feel like I could fly if I tried! I did Day 1 Week one of C25K and I couldn’t believe how easy it was. I was barely out of breath during the jogs, and recovered so fast.
Plus – working the bowflex is making me strong.
It’s a great feeling. The 150s are so close, so close!!

Happy Friday!

It’s Friday! Yay! Today was the Last Chance Workout challenge with a fitness group I joined. So I pushed the bowflex workout to 3 sets. I got through most of the exercises, but failed out on a couple. I think I may stick with 3 sets next week as well. My legs are tiny bit sore from the Couch to 5K start I did yesterday. Not too bad, though.

I must be crazy

Today I decided to do the Couch to 5K program. I tried this before about 20+ pounds ago and didn’t like it. Not quite sure why I feel the need to try again. I have been wanting to try some HIIT, and maybe this seems a good way to go about.
However – the first go around was way easier than I remember! I must be in better shape or something. The 60 second jogs were no problem, and I recovered very quickly. After 2 more times, then the 90 second jogs. That will be the real test. I never made it past the 2nd week the last time.

Could I really make it to goal?? Is it possible??
