Okay – I have been trying a new food every couple of weeks. On the veggie side – this is a really big step for me, as I don’t like that many.
This week:
Red lentils. I had trouble cooking them, the water evaporated before they were done, so I added more. I wasn’t sure if I would like them by themselves, so I mixed them with brown rice. Fairly successful, I would say. I am not totally wild about the texture, but in the rice I don’t notice it as much. Plus – the lentils are loaded with protein and fiber!
