After the orchid area of the show, you enter into what is normally the ice hockey arena for the college. They transform it into the garden wonderland in just a few days.

It’s amazing that all this is temporary and comes down after 3 days.  So much work.

Succulent wall (Shelley, I thought of you!)

This year there were a lot of ranunculus blooms.

I got a bee in my bonnet, so to speak, after the show and picked up some ranunculus bulbs to grow. They are annuals here, but I’ll try anything once!

This would make a nice outdoor wedding venue. There was a nice raised dais on the right.

Lots of water features.  The hyacinths smelled so good, too. Just like spring.

The sand artist was in attendance again. He works on the sculpture the entire weekend and it isn’t finished until Sunday.

I’m not sure how he paints the sand, but the colors are striking.

In another section, there were the floral arrangements. It was a competition and winners were chosen for the different themes.

I didn’t color edit that photo. It just came out like that. The lighting was just right.

I’m not sure how they colored these roses. Maybe airbrushing?

Beehive ginger. Aptly named, don’t you think?  I guess it is super fussy to grow, but a part of me would like to give it a whirl. Maybe being ginger it would be too spicy for Ms. Pixie to nosh on 😀
