I haven’t done written goals in forever! I’m feeling disorganized, so setting some goals this month will hopefully get me focused.
What I would like to accomplish:
- Make a schedule for business. I’m running 2 businesses and I have to get some sort of schedule set for what I’m going to do when instead of the way I do it now, which is whatever whenever. It’s just not an efficient use of my time and kind of stresses me out. So tasks will be scheduled for certain days.
- Clean my closet. I will admit here that I have a messy closet. Clothes are on the floor, clothes that are supposed to be folded are just shoved in the storage thing. It’s just a mess. It’s going to be clean and hopefully purged of stuff I don’t wear anymore.
- Follow disciplined eating. Since we are in birthday/holiday season for a while, it’s even more important that I be mindful of what I’m eating the other times. That way I can really enjoy those days.
- Decide on whether or not to join the gym. I’ve been waffling and if I don’t do it, I need to set a training schedule for lifting weights at home.
Okay, that sounds good. The closet thing might be pretty ambitious LOL! The last thing you want to do in the little free time you have is clean a closet. 😀
Good goals!
Every couple of years I have to do a closet purge. I don’t know how things get so crazy in my closet, I really don’t. I will say, though I didn’t completely follow that Japanese organizing book everyone was doing a few years ago, I did take to heart her method when it came to clothes. I’m not hanging on to stuff at all – I mean even if I’ve worn something only once and hated it but can’t return it, I’m getting rid of it. I want to be comfortable in my own skin and in my clothing!
I vote no on the gym (as if my vote counts – ha!). Biking season is almost here and you are not going to want to go there if you have exercise time, you’re going to want to bike.
Good goals! At first I was going to say just lift the weights at home. But then, as I was thinking about reasons I like to go to the gym–one being just a good way to leave home for a few hours–I thought that since you are now working from home, you might want to go to the gym sometimes.
I can imagine that you’d need to have a specific schedule for work, otherwise you might never feel “done” each day – like pour soap on T/Th, make scrubs on W, labels on F, process orders/shipping from 8-10 every day. I mean, I have a household schedule that I follow, because that way I know stuff will get done, but also, I know when I can take a knitting break each day. 😉
I vote bike bike bike; make yourself a lifting schedule for home (I am the queen of scheduling, LOL).
Oh and I bet if you get your closet cleaned out and organized, you’ll feel like a new person (says the queen of closet organizing, LOL).
Love it!!!! And you’ll kill those goals this month!!!
I did my closet a while back but oh so many more things to be done – I am such a clutter person 🙁
I am definitely a gym person. Not only do I need a pool for my swimming, I like having the variety of machines, different weight options, cardio and classes. I COULD work out at home, and have in a pinch, but I’m not as disciplined at home. If you are disciplined, skip the gym! Save the money!
Like Helen says: no on the gym, at least for Summer because biking season is around the corner.
I work with schedules at work for recurring tasks and like Shelley I use a cleaning schedule. Not for the daily/weekly chores but for example when it’s time to clean the fridge.
And I don’t have enough room for all my clothes so clean out my closet every Spring and Autumn to switch clothes.
