Boy it has gotten cold outside now! It was in the 30s this morning when I got up. I have a feeling it is going to be a long, long winter coming up. Perfect morning for cream of wheat with pumpkin!
It was a busy day. Still really, really busy with work. Not screaming so much, but still uber busy. My little fingers are just typing away!!
I was able to get out for a bike ride today. It was cold, but there was sun and very little wind, so it was time to bundle up and ride!
We are past peak foliage here and now leaves are dropping.
Remember this?
It now looks like this:
The foliage season is too short! Got in another 8 miles today. 103 miles to go!!
I won the football picks this week after letting John have a turn. I am rolling this year. I am in the lead for the picks for the whole year among 4 of us 😀 (John’s sister and her partner play as well).
Anyway, it was time for Indian food! We started with naan, of course:
And I decided on something a little different.
This is an egg chana. Basically a chana masala with hard boiled egg on top. Chana means chickpeas, and this had lots of chickpeas in a tomato based sauce. Yummers!
Your mileage countdown is so exciting! The trees–unbelievable. We are just getting some color on our trees this week.
And your indian dish/ I though those were pears in there!
Ewww. pears in chana masala? I like pears in savory dishes, but not this one LOL!
You are going to crush your mileage goal.
And – those trees make me a little sad – thankfully ours are still in the pretty stage (for maybe another week!).
I’m trying to remember the last time I had Cream of Wheat – I used to love that.
Holy cow, there was a house hidden behind those trees!
Those pretty trees I took a photo of just this past weekend are almost bare now too! We’ve had lots of wind over the past few days and that’s all it takes. I imagine if we get the predicted storm on Friday, that will be the end of any trees that have turned. I always feel it looks dirty after the leaves fall – at least until it is covered by snow. Not sure having it look cleaner is worth the snow though LOL!
We have had the biggest storm since 1990 last Monday and now almost all the leaves have fallen off the trees. Pity because fall trees are the most beautiful in a year.
You are so going to reach your goal this year. You’re almost there.
Food looks delicious!
Wow, our leaves are just now changing. It’s supposed to be 81 today. 🙂
Great job on your mileage!
my husband is so so happy being in the bay where theres at least the HUGE HINT of seasonal change.
not me 🙂
Yahoo for more wins for you!!! Enjoy that!!! Got to say that Pixie pic on your FB page was hilarious!!!!
So cold there already. I am cold here & not gonna tell you the temp. 😉 You are rocking the mileage!
So close to your goal. It’s on the horizon. Snow today though warmer by the weekend.
I love Indian fold and need to learn to cook it. That dish looks yummy.
Food…dumb auto correct.
That Indian food looks delicious. I’ve never heard of that egg dish. Yum!
You’ll have to take the tree pic with a foot of snow (hopefully not too soon). 103 miles – you totally got this!!!!
My one question . . . is there onions in that dish?! Looks good, but I think I see an onion!
I agree, the fall foliage season IS too short! Beautiful shots! And wow…did the residents of that house every have some raking to do! Have a great day Lori, happy Halloween!!!
