I have been remiss with the Pixie photos on the blog. I do understand that is why most people read 🙂
I take a bunch, however. My new phone has lots of Pixie pictures in it already 😳  You know how you always call your pet by other names? One that we call Pixie is Hedonism Cat when you can tell she is totally immersed in the pleasure of the moment. These were taken while watching football last week. She was laying on John’s lap on the fleece, which she adores. Here is relaxing in action.
I has the good life:
I love her back feet in this picture. They look like lucky rabbit feet! She has the extra toes front and back.
As a side note, I have not seen the kittens outside after I posted that I was going to take care of them. Figures, right? I do keep an eye out for them, though.
I lost the football picks this week. Went down in flames, actually. I am ahead for the whole season still, though. John wanted to go to a new place down the street about half a mile from our house called Abuela’s. We walked there in the cold and wind. Yuck! It’s a Cuban restaurant and I had a Cuban sandwich (what else?):
This was served with plantain chips, where were soft like steak fries and really, really tasty!  I need to try to make those at home. I hope they do well. Our town is pretty small. I am thinking I need to win again and have some Indian food.
Pink item of the day? My dumbbells!
Ooh, I like your dumbells. I might have to buy some new ones to entice me to use them more at home!
We had plantain chips quite a bit in Haiti. Its hard to see the banana shape and then have them taste completely unsweet. But I agree–tasty!!
Pixie’s pics are adorable. She looks like she just had a bath and a fluff dry.
I have had plantains before, but never like this. They were so good! Pixie always looks like this. Thank goodness she bathes herself LOL! The hair everywhere gets annoying, as I am sure you know 😉
I love Cuban sandwiches but have never had plantains.
Love the Pixie front arms up in the air…that is one comfortable cat!
they really were soft and like steak fries?!?!?
hmmmm.
and savory?!
Yes, they were thicker cut, so not crispy like potato chips. They tasted starchy like a potato. Very good.
So for losing the picks you still ended up with a great meal!
Funny how you and Shelley both put pics of your pets on your husbands’ laps 🙂
I haven’t had plantains like that before, so I’m curious to see your home version.
Oh, to be a cat for a day….
Thanks for the Pixie orgy!! 😛 I think Hedonism cat has the right idea of life.
I have never heard of plantains. Because I dance salsa now I might also want to try Cuban cuisine…
I love plantains! My cousin served a mission in chile a couple years ago and when she came back she taught us how to make plantain chips. They were so delicious!
I never want to ask for pics of Pixie cause I really do read you for all your goodies, not just Pixie. 🙂 I do love those pics though! 🙂
Plantains are all the rage on IG & recipe bloggers right now but I have not tried them yet…
I’ve put food out for the last couple days, and Kyle the squirrel is no where to be seen! Sorry about your pics, but I loves me a Cuban sandwich!
I love Pixie photo’s, bring them on. I’m not a cat person except for Pixie en Roz’s Neva whom I both love.
We call Bella: Bel, Bellie, Bella and at this moment: little Gremlin 🙂 She’s had a hair cut and it’s short and her ears look really big right now compared to the rest of her body.
Food looks great! I haven’t been out for dinner in a while but that’s going to change soon. Have dinner dates Wednesday and Saturday and we already made dinner reservations for R’s birthday in November.
