What’s Blooming!

The garden is in its last gasps. There will be a few more roses and the black-eyed susan’s will keep going, but most of the coneflowers are now black on top.  I let the finches eat those seeds.

I was at Lowe’s last night and picked up a few mums.

Now I need to decide if I want to put them in the ground or containers.

It was cloudy and rainy, so my sweet potato vines were open this evening.

More baby snapdragons:

And the white ones:

There are still a few stems opening on the butterfly bush:

All of my liriope is on this side of the house (the shady side):

You can see the white ones on the left of the tippy pots. The purple ones are on the right, but they don’t show up.

Signs of fall – the neighbor’s tree, which always turns really early for whatever reason.

I think I have my new phone figured out. Sort of.  I am keeping a close eye on my data usage because I am on the cheapest plan available to start.  I really just use my phone for texting and the occasional actual phone call, but John’s phone was ready to die and he wanted my old one, so that pushed me to upgrade to my free phone.  My new computer is Windows 8 and my phone is just like it, so I got it figured out.  My favorite app?  NFL network! I get it free as a Verizon customer   I probably won’t do a ton with pictures because I love my camera for that. Anyway, I hope I like the phone as I can’t go back now.

Saturday is Irish Fest!  Because it is close to halfway to St. Patty’s Day 😀  The weather will be in the 60s, but at least it won’t be raining!

What is the name of your new cell phone with windows 8? I’m looking for a new cell phone (smartphone now I guess) but I have an iMac and I have a Kindle Fire (droid) so deciding what would be best for me. The rest of Sept. could be nice weather, so your garden flowers could hang in there for awhile. We had such a short summer this year, with having snow the first week in May and lots of rain in May and June. Keeping fingers crossed for a mild winter, just so it isn’t as long as this past winter was. Biking this weekend? If so, enjoy!!

LOL at your trying to figure out the phone and having the cheapest data plan. I am close to getting a smart phone, but I don’t want to deal with learning something new, and I for sure will get the cheapest data plan. That’s the thing that bugs me the most–I can’t believe people pay so much for technology. LOL–waving cane, as Shelley says.

I am still hopeful that we will have warm weather for another month! I need my big tomatoes to turn red!!

I always enjoy the garden updates. The Irish fest sounds interesting. My husband grew up in a town in the Midwest named O’Neill and they literally painted the town green for St Patrick’s Day! Getting new electronics is always a learning curve – I try to purchase items that my kids already have so they can show me the ropes!

I have the cheapest plan, too, and the only time I came anywhere close to the max was when I downloaded a bunch of podcasts over the network. 🙂

Enjoy the Irish Fest! I think that might be the one country we don’t have a ‘fest’ for. LOL

My garden isn’t much anymore. Fall is definitely coming.

I don’t have the cheapest plan for my phone but I do most things (like updating phone or app) always at home because we have Wifi at home and then everything is free.

Hope the Irish Fest was fun but saw I have another post to read so will do that later.
