So glad the week is over. It’s been feeling a little crazy around here in Casa Radiance lately. Need to just slooooow down for a day or two.
I can’t believe how dark it is in the mornings now, can you? It feels much earlier than it really is. I made up some protein waffles to get the day going.
It was going to be warm enough to bike, so I saved that for later.
It’s been busy with work. John has been having fits trying to get our new HDTV set up. Time Warner has the worst customer service. Nobody knows what they are talking about and it has resulted in I don’t know how many phone calls. I am thinking there was at least 5. John handled it pretty well, though. He is practicing being zen (and this was a good challenge for that).
After lunch, I decided to take a break and go for a ride. It was supposed to be sunny this afternoon, but the sun never came out. It was about 62 degrees, so nice biking. I did neighborhood riding and went by the canal for a bit.
Gotta get in the self portrait!
Check out how high the canal is right now. We have had so much rain lately.
And now this is on the way. Wind and rain.
This is one huge storm! You just hate the waiting, you know? I don’t know what will happen with Halloween around here. Guess it depends on if we have power or not. Of course, Halloween is the least of the worries.
We are planning on a pumpkin carving party on Sunday, though. Still plan on that.
Pink picture of the day – Pixie’s nose the other day, now her giant extra-toed foot today.
I’ve been keeping my eye on this storm. Makes a difference when you actually know people who are in the direct path – you pay more attention. Here’s hoping for the best.
We can always hope.
Oh, that canal picture is so beautiful. And your waffles are pretty gorgeous too LOL.
I love the canal path. It can be quite peaceful
Recently I saw Patrick Stewart (of Star Trek) tweet about how dealing with Time Warner Cable made him lose his will to live, so I’m impressed that John was able to stay zen with it.
Hope that storm does NOT come together like they are predicting.
I think John did really well, too! He said it actually helps him to have better customer service for his business by how *not* to treat people.
The storm thing isn’t looking good at all. It’s such a bizarre confluence of weather factors.
How nice you could get out for a bike ride before the storm hits this weekend. You have such beautiful scenery to look at while you exercise.
Thank goodness I don’t have to deal with the techy stuff – I leave it all to hubby!
Sorry I missed yesterday – I get all messed up on Friday when I get on late! 😉
Time Warner is horrible here too! We don’t have it but I hear from other people…. UGH!
Love the self-portrait!!!! Love Pixie too! 🙂
Hope you got your bike riding in before this storm – be safe Lori – thinking about you & all others in the path!!! HUGS!
You were the second person I thought of when I heard about the storm. (The friends I just visited in MD were the first.) Please know I’ll be thinking of you and hoping for the best!
We have Comcast here. I preferred Time Warner, if that tells you anything. 🙂
Thanks Cammy!
I am now all caught up…lots of pink, great floors and tasty food. All fun stuff!
Stay safe!
THINKING ABOUT YOU.
stay safe safe safe.

The clock went an hour backwards Saturday night which means it’s light earlier in the morning but the downside is that it’s dark around dinner time which means there will be a lot of walks in the dark for Bella and me the next couple of months.
We are always having trouble installing things. The manual always says “plug and play” but for us it’s “plug and pray” and hope it works 🙂
