Today was Thursday and it felt like Friday all day. And you know, yesterday felt like Thursday. Coincidence? I think not.
Breakfast of choice for today – banana custard oats topped with PB and some peach marmalade that I got in my jam swap. Thanks Janae!
I did more interval running today. I am trying to decide whether I want to do fewer longer intervals during the runs or more shorter intervals. Does that make sense? My thigh muscle gets fatigued, so I might try more shorter intervals. Anyone have any good music cues for something like this?
I got back from the run and had the best snack. Have any of you tried this cheese?
It is soooo good! I have only been cutting off pieces and eating it because it is just that good. No crackers, no melting it on anything. Just straight to tummy. My folks brought some of this for me when they went to Vermont and I haven’t found any in the stores here yet. Hopefully soon.
And speaking of Cabot cheese – Cabot asked if I wanted some cheese samples (like I would say no to that). They have a line of light cheeses that we love and they are redesigning the labels. Here is the new cheese look:
Cabot is the only reduced fat cheese I eat. It actually tastes yummy. They aren’t paying me to say that because we buy Cabot cheese on our own already (even though these blocks were free). I am thinking about making some stove top mac and cheese with the pepper jack one.
On a new note, Mr. Boo goes to his new home tomorrow. He has turned into quite the lovey cat.
He is not the most graceful cat around. He will stand on your feet or fall off while trying to get comfortable on a lap. Not sure if that is a permanent thing or just because he hasn’t figured out how people stuff really work yet.
He thought this was a comfortable way to lay on me, I guess. I still will get to visit him when he goes to his new home, so yay!
And speaking of more cheese… John and I celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary on Friday. We “lived in sin” for a few years before getting married and our first date was almost 20 years ago (next week it will be 20 years ago – holy crap where does the time go???). John was going through a box of photos and found this gem from when we were first dating.
I am not quite sure what that expression is on his face, but it cracks me up!
Ahem, hello 1990s jacket (Lane Bryant). I actually loved that jacket! I thought I was so cool with a denim jacket, and the animal print topped it off. 😳
We were having fun looking through those old pictures. Need to do that more often!
My goodness, when I first scrolled down to that pic, I thought you were kissing Elton John…looks just like him. I bet your John could do a great rendition of Bennie & The Jets, couldn’t he?? Happy Anniversary!
Haha – if you only knew. John really doesn’t like Elton LOL!
That’s a cute picture.
I visited Cabot cheese when I was in Vermont. I don’t think we have it out here, or I would buy that light cheddar.
Goodbye, little kitty!
Happy Anniversary!
Mr. Boo is a cutie patootie 🙂
Cheese, oh don’t get me started!!
That picture is so fun, from the awesome acid-washed denim jacket, to John’s big round glasses, to the smooch. Cute!
Happy Anniversary, and many more!
Glad Mr. Boo is getting a new home. Bet he’ll become expert at lap sitting soon…poor guy just needs some practice.
That jacket it awesome! And I’m wondering where you got that cheese? It sounds delicious.
Happy anniversary!
I’ll go into mourning over Casper Boo now! You could take some photos of him when you go over to visit?
That’s a great picture of you and John. 🙂 I think I had a similar coat back then, sans the animal print.
Happy anniversary! What a great picture of you that I’m sure brings back all kinds of good memories.
The Hot Buffalo Wing cheese is not allowed in my house – danger zone! I love that picture of y’all.
Cabot is my very favorite light cheese. I suppose I’m lucky to live where we can easily get it although I haven’t seen that Buffalo one yet. They had a huge display in the Vermont House at the Big E but it was so crowded we didn’t even stop.
Happy Anniversary to you and John!
LOVE cheese! I try to stick to feta and blue cheese but on a splurge, I’ll go for pepper jack.
My expression says, “Duh…oops I missed.”
Hahahaha! Very funny John!
Ha ha! Love the old picture! Happy Anniversary!
Happy anniversary! Very cute pic!
I haven’t seen that brand of cheese out here on the west coast, it sure looks good.
Happy Anniversary!! Glad I am not the only one who lived in sin before I got married! 😀
Love the jacket – when I look back at old photos I thought I looked hot – until I see my 80’s teased hair!
Happy weekend!
I am reading Friday so HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We lived in sin too! 😉 I love that pic!!!!!
Lori, I have to say that you must be amazing with animals! Look how far that cat has come! Just like Pixie pics! So cute!!!!! I hope there is no adverse effects to being with another family now that it is used to you…. I am so glad you will be able to visit!!! What if he runs away & tries to find you!!!!!
I know, I am such a dram queen!!! And a worry wart! 😉
Enjoy your anniversary!!!!!
Also note Lori’s Boulder granola side coming out: tie-dye shirt, hole in jeans, and a good chance she’s wearing sandals with socks!
Nice… were we going to make it to 17 years?
hehehe love the picture and your 90’s look! 😉 Happy anniversary!!
Hi Lori! My husband and I dated back in 1988, so we have pictures of that time era too. So cute and funny. I didn’t know you two were together for that long!
🙂 Marion
That picture of you and John is hysterical! So fun to go through old pictures 🙂
