Yep I am going to toot my own horn!
Here are the happy runners before the race:
Note how I stand on the curb to look taller!! It was a good day for the race. At first we thought it was going to be rainy, but it held off. The race was in the Saratoga State park and it was beautiful. I went without headphones to enjoy the birds and outdoor sounds. Much better than a road race. There were no mile markers, so I really had no idea of what my pace was and just tried to push. I had done too much yesterday and my hammies were a bit tight and sore, but it didn’t actually have any effect on my run, surprisingly. Or maybe it was my oatmeal for brekkie!. In fact, I had my best…. time…. ever! I finished in 29:02 !!!! I broke the 30 minute barrier! Now I don’t know what to shoot for LOL!
John also had a personal best at 36:34, and his goal was to hit 40 minutes. We both are rockstars and I am so proud of him. He’s going to be leaving me in the dust when he starts running the whole 3 miles… eeep!
You go, girl!!! That is an awesome time!!! Congrats on how far you’ve come!
OMG!
That is freakin flying. Not only did you beat 30 but you shattered it!
I can’t believe the change in your body. Sry John.. But what I notice is how much more fit that you look. You look very athletic.
It’s the small things that in your appearance that I keep noticing.
Awesome!
So John was shooting for 40 mins and he hit 36..
