I am researching and planning recipes for going on to my own foods. I really like the Nutrisystem pancakes, they are full of protein and fiber and not to many calories. I wondered how they did it.
Well, the dietician said it was oat fiber, so I searched online and found this:
It’s used to add fiber without calories. An ounce has 26 grams of fiber and only 5 calories!! So, I will add some of this and some protein powder to Bisquick Heartsmart to make my own version of NS pancakes. A little higher in calories, but not too much. Plus – no artificial sweetener!
