Leg day

Ever have those times when you wake up really early and go “Oh crap! Garbage day!!”.  Yea, that was me really early this morning. Sometimes they come super early and sometimes later, so we are supposed to put the garbage out the night before.  Oopsie!  Well, at least I got a nice early start at the gym this morning.

Thursday is currently leg day!  Treadmill warmup and then this:

Exercise Set/rep
Super Set:

Alternating lunges/Good Mornings

3 sets of 15
Superset:

Lying hamstrings curl/Dumbell squats

3 sets of 15
Superset:

Standing cable leg abduction/Standing cable adduction

3 sets of 15
Standing calf raise 3 sets of 15

I got on the treadmill and walked for 15 minutes to shake the legs out after that. They were a bit wobbly from this workout 😀

When I got home, the garbage can was empty, so we didn’t miss the  pickup. Yay!!  It’s the small things that make you happy, right?

John already had the waffle maker out – like he read my mind!  I made protein waffles!

Note John playing words with friends.  That’s one thing I don’t do is the games like that on my phone or computer. FB is bad enough of a time suck LOL!

Colder weather defintely creeping in. Our new furnace seems to be doing good.  It actually doesn’t work as hard as the other one did and so the radiators don’t get quite so hot, which is good because you don’t want to get burned on them.  😯 The house isn’t drafty, either – can I tell you how nice that is?  Cement walls are good for something, even if it isn’t for hanging pictures.

Yogurt (Fage 2%) and apple topping for lunch today.

I am almost done with yogurt for a while.  Cold weather comes and it is like a switch for me and yogurt.

It’s good weather for lattes, though!

I like how appropriate this table is for this mug! Also note I obviously have not finished removing wallpaper in this room yet.

Those are 2 mini PB cups by my latte.  I think I mentioned a while ago that I was deliberately bringing in red light foods.  Well, these are a red light food.  I had quite a few the first day, but then I have been a lot better and the bag is still here 😀  I think with these, the issue is I would have them at Christmas only and so would really overeat them.  I can have them any time of year, which means I don’t need to associate them with eating a lot of them all at once.

Quick dinner tonight. Chicken with laughing cow and hot sauce.

WP_20141113_005

I was going to have some rice with it, but then I had some chips while I was cooking and so I didn’t need the starch on my plate as well. Should have just been patient.

Have you all seen this stuff?

WP_20141113_004

I loves me some coconut oil and I was excited for this.  Seems to work pretty well, although the nozzle can get clogged up.

I actually did a little Christmas shopping tonight.  Go me!  You might also want to buy some stock in 3M – the brand that makes Command hooks – with cement walls, I am stocking up to hang pictures!

Evening snack was some chocolate.

I seem to have that sweet tooth hanging around. Lassooing in the eating can take a few days for me to get it all the way back 😀

Yum yum post! How did you get your Fage to look like whipped cream? And the PB cups–I’m not a huge PB fan, but these things can get me. And the smaller they are, the more I like them–something about the chocolate to PB ratio. But they are something I can keep in the house usually. Have you tried the dark chocolate ones from TJ’s?

Maybe with more room in my kitchen, I will get (and use) a waffle maker. Yours always look so yummy. And the Pam coconut oil–I wonder how they keep it from solidifying in the can?

Garbage pick-up–no such thing around here. But as long as MLG comes around on a semi-regular schedule, he will take my garbage away for me. I HATE going to the dump.

WWF–I play with ONE person. Used to play Scramble with one friend–multiple games at once–but she quit playing. I really enjoy WWF.

Ahhh, good to see your waffles with blueberry topping – feels like old home week, seeing them. 🙂

I bet because you’re on the computer all day long for your job is probably why you aren’t into additional games on it, too. I play WWF right before I go to bed and sometimes when I wake up, if I have time before I run. On my iPad though – I can’t read it on my phone.

It’s funny because I love my playstation, but don’t want to do the games on the computer so much. I used to when I had a separate Mac for games and a different one for work. Back in the day.

I just love your new house, and even more so at how happy you are! Yay for 3M, I just love the Command click strips for hanging things. Easy, and no damage.

I am hoping they hold stuff. I worry a bit about some of the reviews where they have fallen off the wall. Our heaviest stuff we will make holes in the cement for 😀

The house is slowly feeling like home with every bit of wallpaper that comes off.

I have to confess that even though I’m behind my computer all day at work, I play Hayday and Songpop at night, not the entire night though, and Songpop not every day. I did decide however yesterday that I won’t turn on my laptop at home every evening anymore. I want a few nights to do some other things I love. I check Facebook only on my phone a couple of times a day, never on my laptop.

Garbage day is always on Thursday. One week normal garbage which can come early so when I have vacation I put it out the night before. The other week it’s the fruit/veggie container and they always come in the afternoon. Then every 2 weeks on Tuesday it’s plastic and every 4 weeks on Wednesday it’s paper. I keep the schedule in my phone agenda otherwise I don’t know when which is picked up 🙂 We also have to seperate glass and batteries but you can drop that off at the grocery stores.

Lordy that is confusing for your garbage and recycling! We have garbage pickup once a week and then recycling every other week, which is all combined paper/glass/metal/plastic in one big bin. That’s the one we hate to miss because we always have a ton for recycling.

I am on a computer so much during the day, I rarely even get on mine in the evening. Sometimes if I have a really heavy computer day I don’t even want to watch TV. It’s like my eyeballs can’t take any more screens!

I could have written a couple of the sentences in this post. I too am finding that by allowing myself to have anything I want whenever I want, I don’t seem to want so much any more. Halloween candy was not a temptation at all for me this year. On the other hand, if I wait too long to eat I can find myself eating chips or crackers and then I’m mad because I know I shouldn’t have my starch at dinner LOL! Just because I’m eating whatever I want doesn’t mean I don’t need to pay attention to nutrition. Patience is not only a virtue, it lets you have your starch 🙂

I actually like being on the computer when not working, but there are so many other things I need to do… like removing wallpaper LOL

I’ve been using the Trader Joes coconut oil spray for a few years and LOVE it. It also clogs. 🙁 I tried the Pam version recently and it seems to be working well so far.

Funny, I was going to comment on the fact that you had a Words with Friends game going then you said it was John. I have to limit my games because I can easily get sucked in and spend hours with nothing to show for it.
Glad your new home isn’t drafty!!!

I am kind of the same way with yogurt when it’s cold, not sure why, but it seems like a “spring/summer” kind of thing – I do bake with it year round though – made some banana muffins for the nurses at the hospital who are taking great care of Tony and getting his sense of humor, which is nice. They all gave them thumbs up! 😀
