Closing date!!!

Things got a little exciting around here in Radiance Land!   We have been waiting and waiting since January and today finally got the clear to close on Radiance Manor!    We had heard last month that it might be getting close, but we were trying not to to get any hopes up since this is glacial bank speed we are talking about.   I was getting a bit upset because we hadn’t gotten the new extension yet and it had expired at the end of July.  Then we got the call this morning.

Damn  – did that seem like a long time to anyone else?

Closing date is next Thursday – 7 days from now!   Wait, wait, wait forever and now full speed ahead!   That’s kind of what I expected would happen.

Here is a video of our soon to be back yard when John and I were creeping around a couple weeks ago.

Lots and lots of potential here!   SQUEEEE!

Finally!! So glad it’s working out for you guys. I’m excited to see what you end up doing with it. But this video made me realize you’ll be giving up your beautiful garden! I guess the fun will be starting over, right?

I will miss the garden I created terribly, but I will be taking some of the plants and I can make my personal garden haven in this back yard. It will take years, but that’s part of the enjoyment of gardening.

I’m so excited for you I can hardly stand it! It really does look like a manor house! And the yard is beautiful. It looks like its got a nice combo of sun and shade. And A nice fence too. It will be so much fun to watch all your changes! Congratulations. Patience paid off!

It took almost as long to close on the house as it would to have a baby…so congratulations, you and John had a bouncing baby house! So, so happy for you guys!

That’s exactly what I said to John “We could have had a baby during that time”. Good thing we didn’t 😀

I’m excited to see what you’ll create with that back yard. The house looks huge. I forgot, is there a separate building for John or will the business be in the house?

The basement is a walkout basement, which you can see in that video. It’s really large (finished, too) and that is where he will have the business.

Shelley’s comment just slayed me dead.

HUGE congratulations to the two of you – now we’re all looking forward to the rehab posts!

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I saw the post title and squealed a little. So soon?? I can’t believe it! Is it weird I watched your video 4 times? What fun! The brick patio full of your flowering pots, the different flower beds transformed… I could even see you planting those runner trellis flowers up the chain-link fence too.

And all the fun inside renovation projects – it’s going to be so much fun reading along as you fix it up.

    Congratulations to you both!! <3
