My life in GIFs

Zooming by for a quick post. These kind of sum up how my life has been lately:

work

Then this makes it better:

biking

Just the way it is going to be for a bit.

I do have a new flower to show.  Not waiting for blooming Friday for this so you all don’t miss it. This is an heirloom lily and it just started opening up. It’s like a little turk’s cap.

I will be taking a ton of pictures of this with better lighting this week!

Ummm, I’m not working and I’m not crying, but I am doing a little of the “I’m going to eat whatever I want…” And also to the second, I’m not cycling, but I am getting some of those same side effects with my exercise!

    Lily = love!

Oh – I think that should always be true – crying equals extra!!!
Sorry that work is rough right now!!

That is a gorgeous bloom. It looks like some little critter is having quite a meal of the leaves. Doesn’t seem to hurt the bloom at all though. Hope works calms the heck down!,,

It’s the red lily beetle. They have been terrible in our area this year. I don’t spray, but I am thinking of getting some kind of nematode to help control them or I won’t have any lilies left!

My goodness Lori thats a gorgeous bloom! What are those little ball like things going up the stem? Just a part of the plant? Or is it scale or maybe tiny snails?? Hugs! deb

A long time ago Roz from Weighting for 50 gave me this advice, which had been given to her:

Everything is going to be all right. Maybe not today, but eventually.

I typed that on a piece of paper, cut it out, and to this day I have it taped to my computer screen at work. Some days I don’t even notice it – other days it’s my focal point, because it’s true. Hang in there!

I have that saying of “I’m not okay now, but I will be”. Kind of the same thing. It’s hard when circumstances are out of your control.

That lily is gorgeous, Lori. My grams had those in her side yard when I was growing up. We used to snatch the seeds off the stalk and throw them at each other, but when she caught us doing it, oh boy, were we in trouble. Kids: ya gotta love ’em, but boy can they be a pain.

I love those! I cried at work a couple weeks ago and had to fight the urge not to dive my face into a deep dish pizza!

I love looking at your flowers – so pretty!

Lori, so sorry about how hard work is for you lately!!!!!! I love your shares though! I think we all can relate except I lift for the second one! 🙂

    LOVE the bloom!!!!

That is actually one of the perks of working at home–at least if you cry, there are no coworkers/bosses to see it!
