Just a day.

Sorry, I have title blank today. Mid week already! I did work about half a day on Monday, but still managed to take half a day for myself…and then proceeded to cram it full of stuff.  I need to find some way to have a 2 day workweek and 5 day weekend.  I am going to have to break it to John that I need to find a sugar daddy.

We were going to bike to breakfast, but it was wet and misty out. Boo!  It was also a lot cooler in the low 50s. Feels like early spring again.

I brought my own cream cheese today and tried the Philadelphia higher protein cream cheese, which was pretty good.

Work has been at a dull roar this week, which is good, and I haven’t gotten called since Sunday (when they called twice). I’ll take the little things right now.  And on a random note, I got my hair cut shorter for biking season.

Post workout and shower flushed face, too!  At least it wasn’t a hot flash…

Lunch – eaten at computer, of course.

I am still in the yogurt/apple rut, although I had it for breakfast the other day – so I do know how to change it up!

My garden is opening up blooms by the minute now, I swear. I woke up this morning and the Boysenberry Buttercup irises had started to open.

These blooms are huge, too. They have to be at least 6 inches across. Friday’s garden post is going to be filled with irises! There were 2 ladies standing on the sidewalk pointing and gesturing about my garden today. I almost thought about stopping work and going out to talk to them, but I didn’t.

My snack!

Half eaten protein bar, because I am classy like that to take a picture. 😀

Dinner time arrived so fast today! Midweek always seems to be cobbled together from precooked stuff, but it’s all good… and typical.

I have missed a few days of the Photo a Day challenge.  Today’s prompt is “Unique” and I thought I would show a picture of black cherry soap that I just made.

Long-time old customer called asking if I could still make some soap for her.  Of course, instead of saying no because of how busy I have been, I said yes LOL!  It wasn’t that big an order and all the same scent – black cherry.  I do have to say that this is about my least favorite scent that I do, but she goes to craft shows with it and sells out.  She will cut this into about 100 bars.

Off to have some frozen yogurt tonight, or maybe coffee because it is kind of cold out LOL!

I think you are one of the most diversely talented people I know!!! In addition to everything else, you make soap?! Impressive!
    I love your hair cut!!!

mmm, that soap reminds me of peppermint bark. It just needs some dark chocolate lurking underneath!

It’s smells so strongly of cherry that I can’t even imagine that LOL. I wish it was mint. I love doing mint soap.

Yeah, even though I like eating cherries, I don’t think I would like cherry soap. Now chocolate mint soap…

    And that iris!!!! How scrumptious!!

And now I want some Fage yogurt. Gotta eat the rest of what I have now though.

I need more room for irises! I used to not grow them because I always wanted long blooming perennials and didn’t realize what I was missing out on.

Thanks! It’s actually angled and very short in the back shaved up above the nape. Good for biking.

The line about informing John of your need for a sugar daddy and the line about the hot flash made me laugh right out loud!

It was 41 degrees here this morning. I slept in because I could not make myself drag my winter running gear back out. I’ll need to take a walk sometime today after it warms up.

I bet you puff up like a proud parent when people are admiring your beautiful flower garden. That would make me excited!

I always like to see the bars of soap you make. It’s so cool. I love the smell of cherries but I know some soaps can sound good but smell pretty terrible. That’s cool that your soap sells out for her!

I do like people admiring the garden. I do it for me, really, but it is nice that other people get enjoyment out of it as well.

The short hair suits you. It looks very nice.
Love those flowers. Wish I had your green thumb.
..and the soap! It’s very pretty which is why it sells out at
crafts fairs. A real eye catcher.

How much time does it take you to make the soap?

Your short hair looks really cute! And the iris is gorgeous. And you better never invite me over because I’d steal that adorable cherry bowl for my niece who loves cherry motifs. I love her a lot so I’d be willing to go to jail for her.

Love your hair Lori!!!!! Beautiful!!!!! Hubby & I used to joke & now again about finding older peeps to marry to help with money issues & then meet on the sly. Now the peeps would have to be ancient to be older than us! 😉

    Love your haircut, looks good!

I hear you on that work week. I’ve had a 3 day workweek and 4 day weekend this week and I could so get used to this. If only my company would pay me a 5 day salary for a 3 day work week 🙂
