Lovin’ the bagel and patience

Yep – it’s that day of the week!  We were both up very early and I suggested to John that we go have breakfast and then ride the bike trainers.  He pretty much jumped all over that suggestion, so we were out the door a little after 7 am for breakfast!  Normally I would be working out at that time LOL.  This was Adirondack Coffee Company.  Cute little coffee bean display here (with snow outside).

I had a wheat bagel with some Ethiopian coffee.

We talked more about the plan for the half bathroom.  This weekend will start the dry fitting for the plumbing, which is a little scary, but I know we can do it!

After we got home, I worked some and then hopped on the bike trainer.  I watched TV for a while and the Weather Channel says more snow tomorrow. 👿  That made me pedal faster out of annoyance.  Then I decided to read.  I ended up doing 12 miles in 45 minutes, which was quite a good clip!  Felt good, too.

Lunch time was a BBQ chicken sandwich on a magic roll.

I need to name them something else.  Both John and I get that song “Magic Bus” in our heads whenever I mention them and it is getting very old indeed.

Work was slow in the afternoon, so I practiced my guitar (which I have been quite diligent about – go me!).  I opened up to a new page to start work on a new song:

and saw this at the bottom of the page:

Have faith that the full extent of your aspirations can be realized with time and patient effort.

Nice, eh?  It can be applied on so many levels to life.  Sometimes we want results NOW! and it just doesn’t happen that way.

Time for addiction:

42 and still with dimples   Funny how those stayed when I lost weight.  I thought they might disappear, but they didn’t.

Easy dinner tonight.  More of the SeaPak Popcorn Fish.  They are all gone now and we are for sure getting more!  They look like tater tots, don’t they?

Last of the strawberries as well.  I think we are going to run out of fruit this week as we shopped a day early. Ruh-roh.

Chocolate dessert was some rocky road dark chocolate from a package that Marisa sent me.  She went to Trader Joe’s looking for peanut flour for me, but came up with this instead.  So very thoughtful!

These are up high because it is so easy to eat a bunch!

Working tonight and singing “lalalalala” with my fingers in my ears so I don’t hear more about any snow overnight into tomorrow…  If I don’t hear it, it won’t happen, right?

Question: Are you patient?

I REALLY want to try that popcorn fish. It looks so yummy.

I am not patient. In any way. I am SHOCKED that I had the patience to last 2 years trying to lose 100 pounds…in reality I should have given up because I didn’t lose it overnight.

Aw, love the dimples! I’m 43 and still have dimples, too…on my thighs. They stayed with weight loss, too 😉

    Glad you liked the chocolate!

I’ll chant with you – NO MORE SNOW, NO MORE SNOW, NO MORE SNOW!

Marisa’s comment has me laughing…oh those dimples. You are lucky to have the cute kind. 🙂

I can be patient, but I prefer not to be.

Sorry about the snow. I hope your driveway can take it!

Hee. I’m sitting here eating bbq chicken and cucumbers as I read this. (I had roasted green beans and tomatoes instead of blueberries.)

I spotted the popcorn fish at the local grocery, but it’s a little pricey for my budget just now. But I’ve got my open for a sale and/or a coupon!

And I am the least patient person you know. Which explains a lot about why my previous weight loss efforts didn’t go so well. 🙂

I am patient and impatient…it really depends on the situation.

Boo to the snow! Today we had snow, sleet, and rain. What a mixed bag.

Good luck with the next stage of the renos!

I am not especially patient. But that is one good thing I have learned from Noah. Love that quote you have up there too! I’m gonna check out that fish to see if they have that brand out here!

As much as I don’t do processed food – I may have to get those popcorn shrimp!

I have just one tiny patch of snow in my front yard – fingers crossed that’s the end of it this year – sorry for you though!

How about “Lori’s rolls” or the “Pixie special”

I truly hope you didn’t get more snow this night. I can so understand you’re sick and tired of it. It’s March weather Gods: we want sun, we want Spring, we want to see flowers again!

I had to laugh at Marisa’s comment too. 🙂 Growing up, I always wished I had dimples and thought if I pressed on my cheeks I could make them appear. I remember asking my friends, “Do I have dimples now?” lol. Hope you don’t get any snow!

Aww…I love the dimples 🙂 I hate all the snow you’re getting, though. Geezohman…if there’s anyone I wish spring on more it’s YOU.

I’m patient with my grandkids, and how I developed that I have NO idea. Everyone else? Not so much, especially myself. But I keep trying…

Coffee & bagel sound good to me!!! 🙂 I am not too patient for a lot of things.. like when I am in traffic or standing in line. I need to get better at that!

Thx for letting me know about the blog! UGH.. I might have to repost my video tomorrow since many might not see it today due to the issues… Thx again!

I’ve never seen the popcorn fish before – I would be all over that!

I think we are supposed to have snow flurries in chicago-land too – so done with winter already!!

  13. Helen

Unfortunately, I have the same kind of dimples as Marissa and wish I had yours. Sigh.

I totally forgot to tell you. I never heard of those popcorn fish until you started putting them on your blog. Then last Sunday I opened the paper and there was a coupon for that exact brand! So then I was wondering would I have even noticed the coupon if you hadn’t mentioned them?

Bah Humbug on the snow. I hope you didn’t get any but I think maybe you did… we, of course, are under a flood watch.

  14. Kelly

LOL to the comment about thigh dimples. Unfortunately I can relate.
Love your cute dimples though. 🙂

What a sweet gift! Can’t go wrong with chocolate.

Hope you didn’t get too much snow. I think you guys have had your quota of snow this year. brrr!

  15. Roz

I LOVE that quote. I have printed it out and pinned it on my workstation. Thanks for the inspiration!!! Have a great day Lori.

Sorry about more snow in your forecast!!! I’m so done with snow, I may scream if I see it in our forecast!

  17. Ang

Cute dimples! 🙂 I wish I had some because I have really big cheeks when I smile and my face just looks like it needs dimples. lol

Nope. Not very patient. Hate waiting for anything!

  18. Pubsgal

    – Cute, cute photo of you! Love the dimples and the brave, “I *will* outlast this winter stuff!” smile.
    – Mmmm, that popcorn fish looks GOOD! I cut the coupon and put it in the stack for the Mr.’s shopping trip, but I don’t think they have them where we are. They need to fork out some advertising $ (or at least give you some free packs) because it would never have crossed my radar if I hadn’t seen them here first.
    – The song “Magic Bus” would now be stuck in my head, too, except that the guy in the cube across from me is playing something that sounds like hamsters singing in a foreign tongue. So while I’m spared the earworm, I’m trying to not have a giggle attack over here.
    – I’m one of those people who thinks they’re patient, but perhaps isn’t really.
