I think weight is the most uncomfortable thing to talk about with the doctor. Everytime I go to the doctor I feel discouraged when I leave because of their attitude towards me. How rude of that doctor to not take the time to find out how far you’ve come before she just comes up with solutions for you!

Yay, great job on the run! That’s awesome That’s annoying about being told to exercise more when you’re so active, but we learned in school (obesity/diabetes epidemic class) that about 60% of Americans never exercise. So the doctor probably gets a lot of non-active or occasional gym-goers. It doesn’t make it right for her to assume like that (she could have just asked what you do), but just saying. She def. should have listened the first time tho. Happy b-day to your niece!

Vegas? Too hot LOL! I have not signed up for the 1/2, as my niece wants to run the 5K part with me that day. So, I think I might do a duathalon instead.

Okay, first, I totally love that you didn’t wear a watch on your run! Sometimes I feel like I’m too reliant on my gadgets and just need to run till I feel good. Second, layered oats is genius. I’m doing that with my next bowl!

Finally, I find some doctors can be irritating. I try to cut them some slack since they see a lot of patients, weight loss isn’t their specialty, etc. What really peeves me are the doctors who have the “one symptom a visit” rule. Now that is ridiculous…

No way I would stay with that doctor. But I am a bit gunshy when it comes to doctors.
