Your last paragraph, Lori--the whole blog world seems to be thinking/talking about that this week. Or maybe that is just what I am noticing because that is what I am thinking about after being out of town and not making the best choices for 4 days.

I completely agree with what you said. At least for me that is true. And it is scary to me, absolutely KNOWING how easy it would be to put the weight on. It is sad and scary to me when I see Oprah so heavy, and know what she has gone through and her knowledge base, and that she can regain the weight.

Glad to hear about Chloe. Keep us posted.

""I have come to think of obesity as a disease for me, that I have to 'medicate' with diet and exercise for my whole life. It's not really curable, but it is manageable""

I love this comment. Oh how true it is.

You're right, there are many aliments that are manageable with a change in diet (& exercise), and obesity is one of them.

I'm glad your kitty seems happy, and that you are coping a better today. It is serious emotional stuff. I have 3 senior cats, each with their own speacial needs.

Take care.
